If you love your Library, if you value the resources and services that your public library provides, if you want to help your Library serve more than 455,000 Lucas County residents - please consider a donation to the Library Legacy Foundation. The Foundation is a tax-deductible, 501(c)(3) organization, so your support qualifies as a charitable gift.

The Foundation raises funds to purchase books and other materials, to support programs for children, families, and adults, and to establish an endowment fund for the future.

Some examples of programs with Foundation support are Summer Reading Clubs for children, teens and adults; Authors! Authors!; the Brown Bag Concert series; and Homework Help Centers.

The Library Legacy Foundation welcomes annual donations, pledges, memorial and tribute gifts, and planned gifts at every level. Unrestricted gifts allow the Foundation to support the Library's greatest needs, but you may designate a special Library location or use for your gifts if you prefer. You may make your gift with a check or with American Express, MasterCard or Visa.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

A donation to the Foundation can provide a lasting memorial for a friend or loved one. And, a gift to support the Library is the perfect way to celebrate a happy occasion like a birthday, anniversary or graduation. Of course, we will notify the recipient of your gift. We can place a bookplate in the location of your choice, or we offer options for gifts of every size.

Deferred Gifts

The Foundation has established the Carnegie Society to honor individuals who have made a commitment to the Library Legacy Foundation in their estates, whether by bequest, an insurance policy, a trust or some other arrangement. If you have made such a commitment, please notify the Foundation by mail or contact the Foundation office.

Program Sponsorship

Many area corporations and individuals support the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library by sponsoring programs and events. Program underwriting provides excellent visibility for the donor while helping the Library.
