Are you visiting Toledo, Ohio this summer and wonder what to do and where to go? Or, are you a native Toledoan looking for something different? Check out these unique ideas for this summer!

Thursday

Morning (City Center)

Coffee – Rustbelt Coffee

What To Do?

Take your kayak down to the Swan Creek Landing Dock starting in Downtown at the Erie Street Market Dock. Some say even though you are kayaking in the middle of the city, you’d never know it.

Afternoon (South)

Lunch – Antojitos Laredo Taco Truck

What To Do?

Take a selfie with the many beautiful murals around the neighborhood.

Night (South)

Dinner – Taqueria La Authentica Michoacana

What To Do?

Take Salsa/Bachata Dance Lessons at Sofia Quintero Arts and Cultural Center. Lessons are every Thursday night, no partner needed.

Friday

Morning (City Center)

Coffee – Bleak House

What To Do?

Research your heritage for free at the Main Library using Ancestry – only available inside the library.

Afternoon (Beverly)

Lunch – Maumee Yacht Club

What To Do?

Schedule a behind the tours at the Toledo Zoo and get up close and personal with the animals. Tours vary from cheetahs to penguins, and more!

Night (Point Place)

Dinner – River Diner

What To Do?

Try your skills at the Oarhouse Sand Volleyball court. Open play every Friday and Saturday night.

What To Do?

Fruits and Vegetables at a Farmers' Market

Toledo Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday morning in the summer. Check out what the locals are selling this summer.

Afternoon (City Center)

What To Do?

Lunch – High Tea at St. Paul Toledo

Take a Downtown Art Gallery self-guided tour.

Night (Ottawa)

Dinner – Pizza Cat

What To Do?

The Amphitheater in Ottawa Park has a free summer concert series on Saturdays 6-8 p.m., July 14 through August 18.

Sunday

Morning (Old West End)

Coffee – Black Kite

What To Do?

Holy Toledo! Travel down Collingwood Blvd and you will see what makes Toledo so holy. There are dozens of churches! Notables:  First Congregational Church has 16 Tiffany stained-glass windows, and Rosary Cathedral was designed to complement Toledo’s Sister City, Toledo, Spain.

Visit the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery, a beautiful green space in the middle of a concrete neighborhood. Check the schedule for free walking tours featuring over 100 tree species and 200 migratory and stationary birds.

Night (City Center)

Dinner – The Heights

What To Do?

Sunset Sandpiper Cruise is a relaxing way to experience the great Maumee River in a narrated tour of history, nature, and more.

Morning (City Center)

Coffee – Claro Coffee

What To Do?

Take a bike ride down by the river at Middlegrounds Metropark. Ride down to the Toledo Norfolk Southern Railroad Bridge to watch the trains go by every 10 minutes. It is one of the busiest railways in the country!

Afternoon (Franklin Park)

Lunch – 5th Street Pub

What To Do?

Visit Toledo’s first adult arcade, Reset Arcade, to play 30 retro arcade games for free.
