Not Your Traditional Yoga

Much like Green Eggs and Ham, where one can eat “them in a boat... and… with a goat...,” yoga can be done in numerous ways ... possibly even with some animal neighs, and certainly at your own pace. Our most recent Literati event was no different; we hosted a beer yoga class and the Maumee Branch. We started with some of the basics: The tree pose, mountain pose and child’s pose.

After the gentle introduction, we moved on to more complex moves, or at least a few that required additional focusing for balance. Think bird dog and warrior poses.
And, of course, intermediate yoga suggestions:
And then the part you’ve all been waiting for... the unique part. What took this yoga class to the next level, you ask? Beer. At the Library after hours. Outside. Nice weather. While we can’t claim to be responsible for the nice weather, the other features were strategically planned. Everyone who participated received an hour-long yoga class, with two beers from Earnest Brew Works, and a Literati cup – now that’s something most of us can raise a glass to.
