King Road Branch

The groundbreaking for the King Road Branch Library location was held in August 2015. Completion of the new building project is projected for the autumn of 2016. The new branch will offer traditional library services (like book checkout and storytimes) while highlighting the most state-of-the-art technology available in a space that fosters creativity and collaboration. Another feature is a drive-thru window for pick-up and drop-off of Library materials.

Giving Opportunities

Oregon Branch

The Oregon Branch project expanded the location to 18,700 square feet from 15,000 square feet. The project resulted in a larger and interactive area for children and teens. Computer stations were added to the branch along with increased meeting room space, a Maker space, and a conference room complete with data ports. A 24-hour lobby area includes a media center for customers for after-hours checkouts and a complete browsing collection of new and popular titles.

Doing Business with the Library

The Toledo Lucas County Public Library purchases goods and services for ongoing operations. It also employs general contractors to build and renovate its various facilities. In all of these endeavors, the Library will encourage consideration of all qualified vendors, including certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Woman Business Enterprises (WBE) and Encouraging Diversity, Growth, and Equity Enterprises (EDGE) for participation in Library projects.
