Your Communication of the 23 of March in which you tender your services to aid in the dispute of ourjurisdiction on the Northern Territory was rec and I am ___   by the Commander in Chief to return you his thanks and at at the same time to state that it is hoped that the question may be settled without a resort to ___ I doubt it however if force necessary to employ ___ his excellency wants me to day that he shall look with ___ or to the ___ of his friends, and among these he shall not hesitate to avail himself of the services of his friend Gen. Murphy.
