Library champion. Buckeye and Wolverine. Eternally inquisitive.

A true lifelong learner, he has led TLCPL into the future by continually investing in new technologies and resources which keep the library a relevant and vital institution.
Library Deputy Director
Strategy nerd. Library advocate. Father of twins.
Mr. Kucsma brings years of progressive librarianship to TLCPL. His work with public service administrators is focused on providing essential programs and services to our growing community of library customers. Mr. Kucsma led TLCPL in developing its new strategic plan, which will lead the library through 2020. As former Executive Director of the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO), he managed a team of informational professionals in the service of more than 250 libraries and helped start Empire State Digital Network, the state’s conduit to the Digital Public Library of America. Mr. Kucsma has a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University. He has served on American Library Association’s Digital Content Working Group and the Office of Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee. He and his wife, Megan Plesea, have already instilled a love of reading in their twins, who can often be seen with a library book in hand.
