MAKE AN UNRESTRICTED GIFT
Honor someone special in your life with an unrestricted gift in their honor.

DONOR PLAQUE OR RECOGNITION SCREEN (varies based on branch)
The Library will engrave a name or small message on a brass plaque (approximately 2-3” width) available at most branches or add to a message to a Donor Recognition Screen (approximately 40” monitors) at Sylvania or Mott branches.

NAME A BOOK
The Library will place a label on the inside of a book’s cover, honoring the person of your choosing. Select a subject area and we’ll select the book to honor your loved one. You and the person/family will receive notification of the gift.

Create a meaningful legacy for the Library. The Carnegie Society recognizes individuals who have included the Foundation in their estate plans – through a bequest, an insurance policy, a trust designation, or other assets. These important gifts are placed in an endowment fund to help meet the long-term needs of the Library. Primary areas of emphasis for this fund are to purchase materials, to support youth services and to provide help for Library programming.

Please reach out to Kathy Selking at 419.259.5123 or kathy.selking@toledolibrary.org for more information.

The Building Fund helps the Library revitalize existing structures and build new branches, in order to ensure the vitality of its services and neighborhoods across Lucas County. Each Library location brings with it many community benefits, including:

  • Access to new technologies
  • Opportunities and services for residents to find economic success
  • Partnerships with schools in increasing early literacy
  • Safe places for residents to gather, learn and be entertained

DONATE TO THE FUND

If you love your local Library and the amazing programming that they do, giving to the branch fund allows them to be even more innovative, welcoming and collaborative. Donations to the Branch Fund support things above and beyond the amazing programming already supported by the Library.

SUPPORT A BRANCH

The Toledo Library’s mission is to engage all of its communities, inspire lifelong learning and provide universal access to a broad range of information, ideas and entertainment. This is accomplished through hosting a range of programs that could overlap with your corporate mission. Early literacy and kindergarten readiness are a critical issues throughout Lucas County, as nearly two-thirds of students tested are not prepared to enter kindergarten with the fundamental skills to learn how to read and write. The Leadership Committee for the Early Literacy Campaign Planting a Seed to Read, is united by a common passion to improve essential literacy skills for all young children in our community and we need your help to accomplish this goal!

SUPPORT EARLY LITERACY

Created to honor Gloria Steinem, the collection champions the historical, cultural and political contribution of women; and strives to provide a welcoming space for women of all walks of life to share their truths. This collection was made possible due to a generous donation by The Steinem’s Sisters Collective.

SUPPORT THE COLLECTION

Thank you for considering the Library for your gift of physical materials. The Library is proud of its vast collection of books, artifacts, artwork, etc. It is through the support of the community we are able to offer the public such an extensive collection.
PLEASE NOTE: Before a gift is accepted into our collection or at one of our locations, there is a vetting process. Filling out this form is the first step for consideration. Submitting this form does not mean that we are accepting your gift at this time. Please do not bring items into the branch until the process is complete and a decision has been made. Someone from our staff will reach out to discuss the next steps within 5-10 business days of submitting this request. Thank you for your understanding.
All gifts given must meet our Board approved Gift Acceptance Policy.
If you would like to donate used books, please contact our Friends of the Library organization to make those arrangements rather than using this form. Thank you!
