Football Returns…But Maybe It’s Time to Stop Watching Football?

It’s fall, so that means it’s time for the return of another American football season. From pee wee to the pros, folks are strapping on helmets and pads, tossing around the pigskin, and generally just kind of hitting each other. As fun as football is, these books examine the moral and ethical dilemmas of a sport that often leaves its athletes riddled with injuries and other lifelong challenges. So before you sit down in front of the TV on Sunday afternoon (or Monday night, Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday…it seems like every day is a football day at this point), perhaps consider what if you just didn’t watch?
