Building for the Future

With your support, we are building vibrant, welcoming community-based libraries designed to meet the evolving needs of our neighborhoods. With expanded children’s and teen areas, upgraded technology, flexible meeting and learning spaces, and inviting outdoor green space, our libraries will offer every visitor a space to grow, belong, and thrive.

You can be part of the excitement through special naming opportunities. From cozy reading nooks and vibrant children’s areas to tech-equipped meeting rooms and outdoor gathering spaces, your gift can help bring these spaces to life and ensure they’re filled with thoughtful, community-centered extras that make a library truly exceptional. Your support not only helps us go above and beyond in designing an inspiring space but also creates a lasting legacy in the neighborhood you love.

We’re happy to talk about naming opportunities at any location, but these are our first few projects:

Washington Branch | Our first new campus in the Building for the Future initiative is designed to bring people together through learning, connection, and shared community space.

Holland Branch | A long-awaited renovation and expansion will give this busy neighborhood the modern, welcoming library it deserves.

Heatherdowns/Toledo Heights Branches | A new building will unite two vibrant communities under one roof, offering more space, additional programs, and increased opportunities for connection.

Whitehouse Branch | A one-of-a-kind collaboration with the Metroparks that blends nature, learning, and play in a setting unlike any other.

Whether you’re honoring a loved one, celebrating your family, or showing your belief in the power of public libraries, a naming opportunity is a meaningful way to make a difference.
