An LGBTQ Reading List for Children & Young Adults

June is a month for celebrations. It’s the end of another school year, the beginning of summer, and the onset of ice cream season! But did you know that June is also a month to celebrate LGBTQ literature? That’s right! June is LGBTQ Pride Month. And, in 2015, the American Library Association named June GLTB Book Month, a national celebration of books that reflect the experiences of the gay, lesbian, transsexual, and bisexual community.
Toledo Library is honoring GLTB Book Month by recommending some extraordinary books for children and teens that explore the LGBTQ experience.
