Having a routine can be beneficial to a child’s growth and development. Familiar routines provide consistency which helps children feel safe and secure. Routines also help children understand time and the pacing of their day, leading to easier transitions from one activity to the next. For example, if you always take a bath and then read a book before bedtime, your child will learn what to expect from their nighttime routine.
