Bob Dylan was born on the 24th of May 1941 in Deluth, Minnesota – he turned 75 today. Dylan is mostly known as a singer-songwriter, but he is also an artist and activist. What can I say about Bob Dylan that hasn’t already been said? Truthfully – Nothing. Dylan is timeless and significant for many reasons to many people. Who else could perform folk, blues, country, rock, gospel and everything in between? Dylan is one of the most influential musicians of our time, so if you’re a musician or music fan and haven’t listened to any of his music some may say you’ve been living with your head in the sand. There has to be a reason so many musicians have found their inspiration from musicians like Bob Dylan. Perhaps there’s more to this complex character? Why not check him out for yourself and perhaps discover something worthwhile. The Toledo Lucas County Public Library owns quite a few resources related to Bob Dylan – below are just a few. So, visit your local library and delve into a little Dylan today.

Books About Bob Dylan and His Music
One of my favorite Bob Dylan covers of all time is All Along the Watchtower – performed by the late and great Richie Havens at the Newport folk Festival in 2008. My husband and I were incredibly lucky to see this performance live – unforgettable!
