What is Juneteenth?

Are you wondering, “What is Juneteenth?” Juneteenth is a day, a week, and in some areas a month marked with celebrations, guest speakers, picnics, and family gatherings that recognize the 19th of June as the day of emancipation of enslaved people in Texas. It is also a time for reflection, rejoicing, assessment, self-improvement, and planning the future.
