Amazing women can be found all over the world, in every country, state, city, and small town. Some women go on to be great entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, writers, and explorers, doing extraordinary things that make their mark on history. Some women are the rocks of their friends and family, who may not be known by all, but whose love and dedication has impacted generations of people around them. The Local History Department looks to preserve and celebrate area women who have left their mark on our community and those around them, a few of which are displayed below.
