One of the most enduring video game series of the 1990s, Mortal Kombat continues to be a source of entertainment for fighting game aficionados (and fans of gore) to this day. Of course, MK has also spawned a whole media franchise that includes comic books, cartoons, action figures, and movies (the newest of which comes out this week). However, you can't really talk about any of these without mentioning the music associated with them. From the eerie stage music of the games to the techno beats of the films, the sounds of Mortal Kombat are almost as essential as all the blood. There's no better way to get hyped for the new movie (short of fighting Goro himself) than to blast the songs that have accompanied the series over the past three decades.
