I’ll admit it, I’m a little pretentious when it comes to horror movies. I like to discuss and dissect the disgusting and disturbed. I’m an absolute sucker for heavy symbols, interesting music, and a hint of ambiguity. Some movies on this list will make you feel more confused and creeped out than scared, but I think there’s some value in that. So, without further ado, here’s a list of my favorite horror movies that offer some interesting themes under all the blood and guts.
