10 Thrilling Godzilla Comics for the New Movie

When Godzilla Minus One came out in 2023, it made a huge impression on not only American audiences, but worldwide. It quickly became the highest grossing Japanese Godzilla film and even won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects (a feat made more impressive considering the movie's relatively meager budget). Not bad for a giant lizard who is a metaphor for the trauma of nuclear devastation (although, in the capable hands of writer/director Takashi Yamazaki, Minus One is about trauma from lots of stuff). I also suspect that for a brief moment, Godzilla Minus One even made fans forget about the Matthew Broderick movie. But anyway, Minus One was great (much like Shin Godzilla before it), so there's a lot of excitement for the sequel, Minus Zero, which, luckily for kaiju fans, comes out this week. So, before you hit the theaters, check out these delightful comics featuring everyone's favorite Tokyo-destroying monster.
