Devendra Banhart, on his track titled simply, ‘The Beatles’ from his album Cripple Crow correctly observes “Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are the only Beatles in the world.” Since The Beatles released their first US single (Please Please Me, February 1963), the other Beatles have since died: John Lennon was murdered, George Harrison died from lung cancer. One can argue that another Beatle is still around though. Pete Best, who served as drummer for the Fab 4 prior to their rise to international fame, is still in the world.

It’s been a wild 60 years since The Beatles made their US debut. Whether you were around in February of ’63 or have since grown to love The Beatles because well, you know…they’re The Beatles…here are 5 titles you can listen to and watch to reflect back on the contributions of 4 of the most influential people in modern music.
