What is normal? Who is normal? Most importantly, who cares about normal? We are all different. Different strengths, different struggles, different abilities, and different disabilities. Isn’t that what makes our world so interesting and special? Some disabilities are obvious for the entire world to see, while others are hidden deep inside and may be known only by the individual. Either way, different struggles just make us human. Want to gain a better understanding of younger characters that are identified as different in some way?

Check out these titles about youths who defied normal.
