All About Juneteenth: Books for Children

On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans were finally freed in Galveston, Texas. Juneteenth is celebrated annually to commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States. It became a federal holiday on June 19, 2021, when President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law.
