Babies Need Words: Hands-On Learning

As soon as they are able, young children gravitate towards hands-on learning experiences. Using books that babies can interact with, such as touch-and-feel or lift-the-flap books, helps to engage their senses and hold their attention. These interactive books also encourage independence, hand-eye coordination, and the understanding of cause and effect.
