Best Book 2024: Mystery

I have recently become a fan of mysteries, specifically cozies. My love of romance novels is probably what sent me down the rabbit hole. The similarities are undeniable; Female lead…CHECK. Takes place in a small town…CHECK. Ends with a happily ever after…double CHECK!
Or maybe it’s just in my mid-west DNA. After all, the original Nancy Drew, ghostwriter Mildred A. Wirt Benson, lived in Toledo for 60+ years.
Fun fact, Ohio has been a featured location in several series, including Cheese Shop Mysteries by Avery Aames (set in Providence Township) and the Pepper Martin Mysteries by Casey Daniels, which takes place in Cleveland.
For me, cozies fall into one of two categories: either good or great. Here are a few of the good and great cozy reads of 2024. Your favorite? That’s a mystery only you can solve.
