Best Books 2024: Romance

To say that 2024 was a big year for Romance books may be the understatement of the year. For the first time ever, Romance was featured on the main stage of the Library of Congress’s National Book Festival with not one, not two, but three amazing authors who talked about why the genre is more relevant than ever. One of those authors, Abby Jimenez, then went on to headline the first Toledo Library Romance-Con that welcomed 2,500 people into Main Library for talks from top authors of the genre like Toledo-native Jo Segura, self-published queen Kathryn Moon (also a NW Ohioan!), and fanfiction darling Julie Soto.
2024 was also a big year for romance and me, and by that, I mean I read an insane amount of it. There is just something about a guaranteed HEA (happily ever after for those new to the lingo) that gets to the heart of why I love reading every time. Here’s my (very condensed) list of my favorite romance reads of 2024. Bring on the tropes, y’all, and see you at Romance-Con 2025!
