Celebrating Our Culture, History, and Community This Latinx Heritage Month

Latinx (Hispanic) Heritage Month honors the contributions and experiences of people from Latin America or of Latin American ancestry. While recognized as one people, this month presents the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity within this community such as national origins and cultural identities.
Celebrate with the Library by checking out some of our new books by Latinx authors or attending one of our events, including our Latinx Heritage Month Kick-Off Event on September 14th, a book discussion of Our Migrant Souls, Paint Your Own Alebrije art classes or our Mystery of Nazca Lines programs.
