Creating and building a college savings/investment plan is very important, but the process can seem difficult and confusing. It’s programs like the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority’s CollegeAdvantage 529 Plan that can help families find a straightforward way to save for higher education. Created to encourage American families to save for higher education, these plans provide a tax-advantaged way to save.
To help families learn more about Ohio’s 529 plan, TLCPL will be hosting an online program on Monday, March 29th, at 11:00 a.m., called “Saving for College: Ohio’s 529 Savings.” Representatives from the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority will describe how the plan works and share details on participating.
In addition to this program, your library also has print and online resources that can help you learn about broader financial fundamentals. It’s always a good time to build your financial literacy skills and we are here to assist with a wide range of tools.
When searching our online catalog, using search terms like “college savings,” “personal finance,” and “financial literacy” will lead you to dozens of excellent print and digital titles to help you with your planning.
