Have you ever just wanted to get out of the house and enjoy the weather, but didn’t know where you’d go or what you’d do? Northwest Ohio is blessed to have scattered throughout our community amazing city parks and the Metroparks, providing us with a place to go to connect with nature, engage with outdoor activities, and relax, leaving the world behind us. As a librarian, nothing sounds more appealing than sitting on a bench, enjoying a nice, cool breeze, and reading a good book (and earning a day of reading for Summer Read), listening to the sounds of nature.

To highlight these incredible parks within our community, the Local History Department has pulled out some artifacts of the Metroparks and the city parks. If you are interested seeing more artifacts of the Metroparks throughout the years, click here.
