Memorial Day Reads for Kids

The first ever official Memorial Day was held on May 30, 1868 to remember those lost in the Civil War. In 1971, Congress passed an act to establish that Memorial Day was to be observed on the last Monday of May each year. Here are five titles for kids that commemorate Memorial Day and the United States, and remember our fallen soldiers. Have a meaningful Memorial Day.
