Many book lists and blogs about children’s literature feature books intended for younger children, like board books, picture books, and readers. That attention is well deserved, but middle grade books deserve their chance to shine too! And, middle grade readers deserve to read stories about kids like them! For Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, read one (or more) of these wonderful middle grade books with queer Latinx main characters. Visit your local branch in September and October to explore the Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month books on display and attend a Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month event!
