Secrets to Happiness: How Different Cultures Achieve Well-Being

Innsaei.  Ubuntu.  Nunchi.  Sisu.  Hygge.  Say what, now?  Other languages and cultures actually have specific words defined as describing the achievement of happiness and ease in life. Who knew vocabulary could be so optimistic and uplifting!? Americans and other primarily English-speaking cultures have no such words, but meanwhile there are hundreds of synonyms for “angry.” Seems like we could probably gain a lot from devoting more energy on these cheerier notions. Here are some great books to get you started.
