Social emotional learning (SEL) encourages the development of self-control, self-awareness, and the interpersonal skills needed to succeed in school and life. SEL focuses on nurturing young minds to become adaptive and resilient, prepared for creative and innovative problem-solving.
By incorporating SEL, parents and educators look beyond curriculum standards, taking a holistic approach to education. Using the power of yet (“I can’t do fractions, yet”) helps kids respond and grow despite adversity.
We hope this collection of library materials will inspire you to think of many ways you can promote social emotional learning among the children in your life.
A Library card number and PIN will be required to access many of the resources listed. Need help with your card or PIN? Contact your nearest location or call 419.259.5200. Need a new card?
