You know how some people say you should drink hot beverages when it’s hot outside and cold drinks when it’s cold? Because thermoregulation, or something like that? Well, obviously, I’m not going to start doing that, this is where science and I part ways. But maybe a similar principle applies to movies: if, as the temperature outside starts to dip, you binge-watch the coldest, chilliest, most frigid wintry movies you can think of, it will thermoregulate your brain and you’ll feel more comfortable.

On the other hand, it might just make you anxious and depressed. Frankly, a lot of these cold winter movies are kind of stressful. Even the romcoms revolve around things like cancer and comas.

But if you don’t mind murder, dejection, and the occasional room-temp vampire, try welcoming Old Man Winter with this frosty film festival. The sweaty movies will still be there for you after the spring thaw.
