The Best Comic Book Rabbits in Honor of Easter

If the last century of Disney media is any indication (or several thousand years’ worth of folklore and mythology, for that matter), talking animals are a BIG deal. Comic books, newspaper strips, graphic novels, and manga have their share of anthropomorphic critters. From Jimmy Swinnerton’s The Little Bears of the 1890s to fun parodies like Howard the Duck and contemporary icons like Rocket Raccoon, there’s a long history of colorful and memorable characters.
Of course, with the Easter Bunny’s presence looming large this time of the year, we needed to highlight some of the most important rabbits (and other characters inspired by rabbits) from the world of comics. If this list is not enough comic book bunny weirdness for you, don’t forget about Spider-Man’s run-in with Funny Bunny, Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew, Hoppy the Marvel Bunny, and of course Larry Hama and Michael Golden’s delightfully bizarre, Bucky O’Hare.
