Verse novels, or novels in verse as some refer to them, offer up diverse and engaging stories that are ripe with appeal for young readers. They are not simply long poems, but instead offer up the feel of poetry while following a narrative structure one might find in a novel. If you think about it, verse novels provide the best of both worlds. They hook readers with their melodic tone and captivating storylines. Verse novels are the perfect fit for reluctant readers.
