Young Adult Books to Inspire and Prepare First Time Voters

The first week of October is National Voter Education Week and High School Voter Registration Week. Both are efforts to help voters, especially new or young adults, register to vote and get the information they need to participate in the voting process. This week is an opportunity to help and encourage eligible young adults in your life to take advantage of their right to vote. Luckily, TLCPL makes registering to vote and finding voting information accessible through our Civic Engagement Page.
Remember the deadline to register to vote in the next general election is approaching quickly in Ohio. October 10th is the deadline for voter registration for the November 7th general election. In Ohio, you must be at least 18 years old on or before the day of the next general election, however, those who will be 18 on or before the general election may register to vote before their 18th birthday. For more information on voter eligibility requirements in Ohio, check the Ohio Secretary of State Voter Eligibility & Residency Requirements Page.
