The Toledo Lucas County Public Library takes stewardship of taxpayer dollars seriously. Our work is recognized with a report from the Bowling Green State University Center for Regional Development that finds $6.73
in social benefit is created in return for every $1 that is invested into the Toledo Lucas County Public Library system. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to our Library system for 27 consecutive years. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to our Library system for 27 consecutive years. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a governmental unit must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized Annual Comprehensive Financial Report conforming to program standards. Such a report must also satisfy both general accounting principles and applicable legal requirements.
