Thanks for your interest in volunteering at the Library! 

We are now accepting applications for Summer Read. The Summer Read VolunTEEN program is for teens ages 12 (birthdate must be June 1 or before) through high school graduation. Training is mandatory, and as a Summer Read VolunTEEN, you will be trained to:
·     Work with staff, many children, and families.
·     Use our summer reading software to sign readers up for Summer Read and award prizes.
·     Assist with Library programming and programming duties.
·     Fulfill optional opportunities available based on the needs of the Library’s location. Additional training may be necessary.
 
Beginning April 1st, you can complete an online application here. Starting May 1st, you can register for a training session online or at your preferred library location.

* After training, your name badge and t-shirts will be sent to your primary location, and you may volunteer for up to three library locations.

We are accepting applications for Adult Volunteers. As an Adult Volunteer, you must be 18 or over, agree to a background check, undertake training and participate fully. Training is mandatory, and as an Adult Volunteer, you will be trained to:
  • Assist with Library programs and events at the Main Library and branches.
  • Complete activities, play games, and read with children of all ages.
  • Fulfill optional opportunities available based on the needs of the Library’s location. Additional training may be necessary.
