8 Comic Characters You Need to Know for Arab American Heritage Month

As we’ve mentioned time and time again (and again and again), comics do not have the best track record of showcasing non-white, non-straight, and non-male characters. This was especially true in the early days. While comics are still dominated by straight white guys, creators in recent years have made an effort to introduce more characters who reflect comics’ diverse readership. So, this Arab American Heritage Month, challenge yourself to expand your comic-reading horizons and check out some of the characters of Arab heritage below. You may just find your new favorite hero or villain!
