This year’s Hispanic Heritage Month will be very different from past years at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, but we are still committed to celebrating Hispanic/Latinx history and culture. With the focus on virtual events, we are able to provide engaging and enriching activities for our patrons.
Did you know we have Saturday morning storytimes? Check out our fall schedule for a special storytime featuring Hispanic/Latinx stories, songs, and more.
Join us on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 7 – 8 p.m. for an engaging virtual Authors! event with Sonia Manzano.
On Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., we will feature a virtual program for all ages with El Corazon de Mexico Ballet Folkorico. Marvel at the traditional Mexican dancers’ skill and learn a move or two!
If you are missing social interaction, try one of our Adult Book Groups. Our Latino Cultural Committee will host a virtual book discussion, Afterlife by Julia Alveraz on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 7 – 8 p.m.
Finally, the Library is proud of its diverse staff, so be sure to look out for our Toledo Library Blog for a new series featuring short interviews with our Hispanic/Latinx library staff members.
