These titles are also available in Spanish language versions.

Gulliver’s Travels

eBook | Animated Movie (2017) | Animated Movie (1939 classic)

Gulliver’s Travels was written in 1726 and has become one of the great classics of English literature.

In the 1939 animated movie, the brilliant animation team of Max and Dave Fleischer took a break from Popeye and Betty Boop cartoons to tackle Gulliver’s adventures. Two years earlier, Disney’s classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs raised the bar for all animated features to follow, but Fleischer Studios was up to the challenge. The result is a gorgeous 76-minute feature (the first animated feature from an American studio other than Disney), which earned an Academy Award nomination for it’s score and another for songwriting.

The 2017 film is an animated adventure on a gigantic scale in this whimsical laughter-filled tale of some very tiny people who learn some very big lessons about life, accepting differences, love and spaghetti!

Pollyanna

eBook | Movie

The best-selling 1913 juvenile fiction novel by Eleanor H. Porter, follows the story of a young girl (Pollyanna) who goes to live with her wealthy and unmarried Aunt Polly. Though the Vermont townspeople of her new home are generally cold to Pollyanna at first, she soon wins them over with her sunny disposition and her determined optimism.

The film is part of PBS’ Master Theatre and features newcomer Georgina Terry who makes a stirring debut as Pollyanna in this heartwarming tale of a little girl whose effortless charm captures the hearts of family, friends and strangers alike.
