Things I’m looking forward to doing this fall:
1. Doing a seasonal hand soap inventory.
2. Foraging for wild Snickers.
3. Yelling “Speed kills!” at people who drive too fast in my neighborhood. IYKYK
4. Standing still at the end of hotel hallways clutching my sister’s hand.
5. Forgetting that the thermostat at my family’s Thanksgiving is set at a balmy 85 degrees and sweating through my turtleneck and wool skirt.
6. Watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade to see what cherished movie from my childhood is being turned into a new Broadway musical and subsequently ruined.

Books I’m looking forward to reading this fall:

This list has me dreaming of a mashup mystery where Stephanie Plum and Armand Gamache do a Freaky Friday and end up in each other’s cities. I’d like to read about Gamache as a professorial bounty hunter navigating Trenton, NJ and see how Stephanie fares in the Quebecois village of Three Pines when she orders peanut butter and olive sandwich at Olivier’s Bistro. Does that come on a baguette?
