The Paleolithic Diet, or Paleo for short, is a popular gluten-free diet with a focus on eating as our paleolithic ancestors ate: this includes lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. It is a gluten-free, dairy-free diet that does not require calorie counting or portioning, so it is perfect for busy people on the go. According to the Mayo Clinic, following the Paleo Diet has been clinically shown to have the following health benefits:

In January 2017, I read Loren Cordain’s The Paleo Diet after making a New Year’s resolution to eat more whole foods and lower my hereditary high cholesterol. After following the diet for a year, my cholesterol has decreased by fifty points, my sugar cravings are gone, I have more energy, and I have lost weight.
