The Library has the resources to make your ideas a reality. All of our equipment is listed below with location options for each item.
You can reserve equipment by:
- Sending an email request to making@toledolibrary.org
- Calling your preferred location
Drop-in access is available if the equipment doesn’t already have a reservation. To guarantee access, a reservation is needed.
Equipment use is free with your Library card. There is a modest fee for the material cost of 3D printing, wide format printing, plotter printing, and vinyl cutting. The costs are in the descriptions below.
Adobe Illustrator: 2D Art Session

Intro to 3D Printing at the library

Learn all about 3D printing at the Toledo Library! We offer different types of 3D printing, have machines around the county, and offer different classes.
If you can find it or design it, we can print it! Printed objects must not infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property rights. Objects must not be illegal nor can they be construed as having the intent to harm. The Library reserves the right to refuse any print request at the discretion of Library staff.

- Pricing is by weight, $1.00 for any request 20 grams or less, $0.05 a gram for everything over

Whether you’re working in graphic design, photo or video editing, illustration, animation and more, Adobe Creative Studio has an app to help you get the most out of any project. With industry standard apps like Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Animate, Premiere Pro, and more you’ll be able to give a professional polish to anything you’re working on.

You can edit audio with tools like GarageBand, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, and Audacity. For instructional help with any of these software applications, please try the online courses provided through LinkedIn Learning.
Microphones are available for recording audio, and mixing board access is available for additional instruments. At Main Library, Mott and West Toledo, you will find Novation SL MkIII keyboards. These MIDI and CV-equipped keyboard controllers have eight-track sequencers and can be used with Ableton Live to create the sound of any instrument you need.

The Cricut Maker is similar to the Cricut Explore Air. However, it can cut over 100 materials—anything from delicate crepe paper and fabric to leather and wood.
The Library subscribes to Cricut Access, which includes a wide selection of fonts, images, and projects. Please note that there are some fonts or projects that have an associated cost that the subscription does not cover. To use the Cricut Access subscription, customers should use the designated computer within the Making Space.
The Library also provides:

- Basic pens
Customers should bring all other needed supplies, such as fabric, cardstock, vinyl, chipboard, etc.
Locations:
The Epson ET-8550 prints on a variety of media, including cardstock, glossy, matte, and premium photo paper. Photo paper pricing is as follows:
- Photo Glossy Paper 8.5×11: $1.50 per page
- Photo Glossy Paper 11×17: $2.50 per page
- Photo Glossy Paper 13×19: $3.00 per page
To print on a photo stock you provide, such as matte, is $1.00 per page.

Designed to fit in the palm of your hand, there’s plenty of space to store a massive amount of photos, videos, music, and documents. Ask a librarian for back-up options if you need help saving your project.
