The mission of Metroparks of the Toledo Area is to conserve the region’s natural resources by creating, developing, improving, protecting, and promoting clean, safe, and natural parks and open spaces for the benefit, enjoyment, education, and general welfare of the public. - Metroparks of Toledo

With so many locations across Northwestern Ohio, the Metroparks of Toledo are one of Toledo’s most fantastic and bountiful resources, offering some of the area’s greatest outdoor fun.

Looking for something to do? On May 21st, come out for a day of adventure at the Metroparks Outdoor Expo 2016. Can't make the Outdoor Expo? The Metroparks offer a variety of Events & Programs - whether it's Playful Pastimes, Bike and Bird, Campfire Cooking, or breakfast and lunch themed adventures – there’s something for everyone.

Have you heard the news? There’s a new Metropark in town called Westwinds Metropark, which is located in Holland and offers Toledo’s only public archery range. And did you know there’s more to come? Middlegrounds Metropark is scheduled to open in 2016 on the banks of the Maumee River in Downtown Toledo. Howard Marsh Metropark, located on the shores of Lake Erie, is scheduled to open in 2018 and set to offer water trails for canoeing and kayaking.
