Three out of four children as young as 12 dislike their bodies, and 97% of children as young as 12 are on social media. It is no coincidence that while social media use among children and teens has increased over the years, poor body image among today’s youth is also on the rise. During National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (Feb. 26 – Mar. 3), take a break from TikTok and pick up one of these titles for your child or teen. Read books that confront body shaming, embrace body positivity, and delve into the complexities of eating disorders.
